1)- Khmer Curry soup  



amlor kari is Khmer red curry in Cambodia which is made of chicken, beef or fish. It’s often cooked with sweet potatoes, julienned onion, snake beans, bamboo shoot, eggplant, potatoes, fresh coconut milk, lemongrass and kroeung. The soup is usually served as a dipping sauce for bread. In special events like weddings and other anniversaries, samlor kari is eaten with samlor machu and this combination is called nom banh chok samlor curry.

2)- Fish Amok 



Amok Trey is a traditional dish of Cambodian gastronomy that is favored by most of visitors. The original amok is made from chicken and covered with an aromatic kroeung (mixed of pounded shallots, lemongrass, garlic, kaffir lime according to a general formula), roasted crushed peanuts, coconut milk, and egg. All is rolled by banana leaves and steamed. It then is served in a coconut. The taste is a wonderful blend of coconut flavor, aromatic carry paste and the flesh of chicken. Nowadays, amok trey can be made from beef or freshwater fish fillet (commonly snakehead fish or Mekong catfish). The dish now is well-known as steamed curried fish. It’s also the main dish during the Water Festival which celebrates the change of Tonle Sap River’s flow and thanks Mekong River for providing the country with fertilized land and abundant fish.

3)- Beef Lok lak



In Cambodia, tourists can order lok lak at almost restaurant. The chef will serve you with marinated pork or beef slices, fresh red onions, lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes. All is roasted over hot charcoal. When eating lok lak, you must add some lime juice, sea salt and black Kampot pepper. Its smell and high nutrition make this dish become irresistible for the tourists. Lok lak can go well with rice, fried egg and salad.

4)-  Kampot Pepper Crab



Kampot pepper is world famous. All the finest chefs in the world rate this highly aromatic green and black pepper as the absolute best in the world. It fetches high prices in the kitchens around Europe. Here of course it grows in abundance and is to be found across the south of the country. Peppered crab is found along the coastal regions in the south of Cambodia, this is where it is at its freshest and most aromatic. The fresh crab is flash fried in a wok and garlic and green peppercorns are added. Fish sauce and water is poured in along with soy sauce and sugar. It is served with the juice from the wok, pepper vines and coriander. Swilled down with a cold beer, this really does take some beating!

Yahorn is one of the best Khmer foods and your can find mostly at restaurants in around Cambodia. It is counted to be the most nutritious food among some Khmer foods that are very popular. it tastes very yummu
